Who Can See My IP?

IP address lookup – Who can see my IP address location?

An IP address lookup will determine the geolocation of any IP address. The results of the IP address lookup will show you the city, state/region, postal/zip code, country name, ISP, and time zone. This data can be used by various agencies to find the exact owner of any IPv4 or IPv6 address. Its means someone can easily find your IP address and hacked it.

Your IP Location can be found using our IP Lookup tool. No IP Lookup tool is 100% accurate due to many different factors. Some of those factors include where the owner of the IP has it registered, where the agency that controls the IP is located, proxies, cellular IPs, etc.

What would you see by look up:

A person’s nameThe exact street addressesA phone numbersTheir email addressesAny person can trace you or get informed:Any person can see your location or can get other information about you through…..

Via Email:

Most Internet/email providers today no longer include the email address of someone sending an email. People can find IP address through an Email html bug. This bug is not a virus but it’s just a piece of code and when you read the email the bug tells to the sender that you read the Email and show your IP address to the sender. The email header on your office’s email could reveal your IP address, and a clever IT-minded person can easily use it to find the location of your work place.

By borrowing computer or devices:

If you use or any other person borrow your computer or devices, it’s easy for you and also them to trace the IP address. You can just type what is my IP address and trace that IP address. If you’re home network isn’t well secure, a stranger can tap into your wireless network. Also, if you let a guest use your network (you provide the password) they will know your IP address.

From web server logo:

Every time you visit a website, you leave your IP address. After all, it’s your digital pass to connect online. A website can (if they wish) scour their Web-server computers to review all the IP addresses, just to see the reach of their message or who’s a repeat visitor.

Through social Media:

Social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) do not reveal IP addresses between users, but the site administrators indeed know your IP address. Also, if you click on an ad or link on the site, the they will capture your IP address.

Through messaging app:

Your mobile phone uses an IP address every time you engage someone through a messaging app, such as WhatsApp and Viber. Messaging app usage is growing incredibly fast. Your IP address is invisible to the person you message, but if-and-when you click on a link in a message, the website you sent it to has access to your IP address.

So, all these sources or methods are tracing your IP addresses easily to someone else and the other persons IP address to you.

Proxy server – can I use?

Proxy server basically is a tool that hide your real identification and show you according to the server. Mostly people use Proxy server to hide themselves on internet. Proxy server is a bridge between your computer, pc and internet. If you want to search some pages and request to show them then, computer send the request to the proxy server and server send it to the web pages that you are demanding. The internet search it and send it to the server and server show you that object. On the web pages your real identity not be shown instead of website see the actual visitor the proxy server not your real identity.

Types of proxy servers:

Transparent proxy:

This type of proxy server identifies itself as a proxy server and also makes the original IP address available through the http headers. The use of a transparent proxy will get you around simple IP bans. They are transparent in the terms that your IP address is exposed, not transparent in the terms that you do not know that you are using it.

Anonymous proxy:

This type of proxy server identifies itself as a proxy server, but does not make the original IP address available. This type of proxy server is detectable, but provides reasonable anonymity for most users.

Distorting proxy:

This type of proxy server identifies itself as a proxy server, but make an incorrect original IP address available through the http headers.

High anonymity proxy:

This type of proxy server does not identify itself as a proxy server and does not make available the original IP address.

Can I use them?

It’s really beneficial for using it but you can be use it at your risk and you have to take permission from the owner otherwise it will be illegal. Here are some beneficial of proxy server.

Control internet usage:

One of the most important reasons why proxies are widely used in corporate networks is that they provide control over what employees are accessing and using on the Internet. For example, many companies ban certain websites so that they are not accessed by employees during work hours.

Proxy server can improve security:

Proxy servers may also have a role in improving security, especially when used in business networks. They can be set to block access to malicious websites that distribute malware and they can also provide encryption services so that your data is not easily sniffed by third-parties that want to get their hands on it

To speed up Internet surfing:

If use proxy server, all requests from client computers will reach the proxy server at first, if the proxy server has cached the required resources in its local hard disk before with the web cache function, clients will get feedback directly from proxy server, it will be more quickly than direct accessing.

To implement Internet access control like authentication for Internet connection, bandwidth control, on-line time control, Internet web filter and content filter etc.

What is IP address and how it works

Identifier of a computer is called IP address. There are two standards for IP addresses: IP Version 4 (IPv4) and IP Version 6 (IPv6). All computers with IP addresses have an IPv4 address, and many are starting to use the new IPv6 address system as well. Just as you would address a letter to send in the mail, computers use the unique identifier to send data to specific computers on a network.

An IP address can be either dynamic or static. Static address can be configured by yourself through the computer’s settings. This type of address is rare, and it can create network issues if you use it without a good understanding of TCP/IP. Dynamic addresses are the most common. They were assigned by the Dynamic Host configuration protocol. Dynamic protocol system uses for limited time for leasing system if lease is expiring the computer will automatically request for a new lease. Its mean computer needs a new IP address.

The IP address is the core component on which the networking architecture is built; no network exists without it. An IP address is a logical address that is used to uniquely identify every node in the network. Because IP addresses are logical, they can change. They are similar to addresses in a town or city because the IP address gives the network node an address so that it can communicate with other nodes or networks, just like mail is sent to friends and relatives.

A public IP address is an IP address that can be accessed over the Internet. Like postal address used to deliver a postal mail to your home, a public IP address is the globally unique IP address assigned to a computing device. Your public IP address can be found at What is my IP Address page. An external or public IP address is used across the entire Internet to locate computer systems and devices. A local or internal IP address is used inside a private network to locate the computers and devices connected to it.

If you want to hide your IP address then you can use VPN software and proxy server. When connecting to the Internet over a dial-up Modem, your ISP will assign your computer a different IP address each time you connect.

If you’re wanting to change your IP address, try disconnecting and reconnecting. If you’re assigned the same address, disconnect for a few minutes and then reconnect.
